Privacy Policy

Pail is in a private, invite-only preview. This is an early version and will be replaced by a full version before public launch.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash. If you sign in with GitHub or X, we also receive the name, username, profile picture and email address they share.
- Business: the business name you enter.
- Wallets: your public wallet addresses and the messages you sign to prove you own them. We never ask for or store private keys or seed phrases.
- Technical: sign-in sessions, IP address and browser details, and anonymous page-view and performance data (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights).
How we use it
- To run your account and keep sign-in secure.
- To send service emails, such as sign-in links and password resets.
- To fix problems and improve Pail.
- To meet legal duties. When payments go live, payer addresses are checked against sanctions lists.
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who processes it
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting, analytics and performance data.
- Our email provider: delivering service emails.
- GitHub or X: only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Your wallet app (for example Coinbase Wallet or a browser wallet): it handles the wallet connection under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
Pail uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and to secure wallet sign-in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open, and delete it when you ask, except where the law requires us to keep a record. Blockchain transactions are public and permanent, and can't be deleted by anyone.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time by emailing support@usepail.com.
Age
Pail is not for anyone under 18.
